Devī was a seed planted in the garden of my heart many years ago. I have watered, tended, pruned and nurtured it with all the love and tools gifted to me. It has been a moving journey to watch each petal blossom into this magnificent flower, where I envision Devī, sitting in its center.

My hope through Devī is to create small pockets of embodying sacred beauty through esthetics and dance.

"Embodying Sacred Beauty"

Sacred beauty is not confined to conventional standards but rather embraces the uniqueness of every individual, recognizing that each person carries a divine spark within. It is found in the gentle curve of a smile, the sparkle in the eyes, and the authenticity that emanates from a soul aligned with its true purpose. Sacred beauty is a reflection of inner harmony, a manifestation of love and kindness that invites us to appreciate the sacredness in ourselves. It encourages a shift from the pursuit of perfection to the celebration of authenticity, recognizing that true beauty lies in the sacred tapestry of our experiences.

By creating harmony, beauty and meaning to our outer world we are assisted in recognizing and embracing the beauty of the universe inside of us through the sensations of our senses. Wearing clothes that allows us to 'feel good' transcends mere fabric and style, transforming the mundane act of getting dressed into a ritual of self-celebration. "Embodying Sacred Beauty" , is a personal sacred ceremony, a moment of connection with the goddess that resides within, allowing the wearer to move through the world with a heightened sense of purpose and esthetics.

It's about adorning oneself in garments that evoke a sense of empowerment, grace, and confidence. The threads weaving a narrative of strength and beauty. With every carefully chosen piece, a person steps into a realm of heightened self-awareness, embodying the qualities of a goddess – be it poise, allure, or an aura of unapologetic authenticity.

Each garment is named after a differnt goddess in honor of celebration to Her. A sensational reminder that whenever you wear a Devī garment you are encouraged to embrace your inner unique divinity with every stride.

Sacred Temple Dance

Odissi Dance is a ritual dance form that was originally performed in the ancient temples of India. It is the union of Lasya and Tandava, the feminine and masculine energies of dance. Odissi preserves its divine origins by creating a sacred space wherever it is performed; and interweaves sensuality and spirituality as an offering through prayer and posture, and guides the dancer to their own alignment with softness, activation and joy. Working with mudras (hand gestures), prana (breath work), torso fluidity, postures of goddesses and gods, and rhythmic movements, this dance form connects the dancer to tune to the evolution within, while sculpting the feminine body.

Odissi preserves its origins by creating a sacred space both inside the body as well as outside of the body. Offering this through a sequence of gestures called Bhoomi Pranam or Earth Salutations. Offering respects to Mother Earth; Bhoomi Devī, for allowing us to dance on her grounds, inviting her sustenance in our posture. Bhoomi Pranam is a powerful salutation that is always done before and after dancing. The focus is on releasing unwanted emotions through the bottoms of the feet, requesting the Earth to recycle them into nutrients that can then support our true alignment. The deliberate movement of touching the Earth with the soles of the feet initiates an energetic pulsating beat from the Earth that transports a wave of movement throughout the rest of the body.

When we move with divine intention, we celebrate this miraculous gift of the Temple of the Body, through which we can do good in the world while keeping in beat with divine purpose. In this space of our heart we invite our divine, eternal beloved; the protector and enchanter of our soul, to dwell and dance with us forever. Through sacred movement, we enter through the temple doors, signifying the layers of the heart, arriving at the inner sanctums of our being - love.
